Dr. Talida State (pronounced: /tuh-lee-dah stah-tey/) is a Jamesburg Board of Education member who is running to continue her commitment to the Jamesburg, NJ school district and its students.
As an elected Board Member, Talida’s priorities will focus on achieving the best educational outcomes for students through community involvement, integrity, and meaningful learning opportunities. As the mother of a second grader at John F. Kennedy Elementary School, Jamesburg NJ, she has an understanding and overview of the schools’ pulse and forte and also sees potential for growth. She believes that community participation is essential for the success of the school system and is dedicated to ensuring all voices are heard in decision-making.
She is committed to hold herself accountable, but also the Board and district leadership for transparency in initiatives and decisions. She promises to partake and lead with integrity and make data-driven choices - an advantage that she draws from her own education and profession - that reflect community values, fostering inclusive environments for all students.
Additionally, she aims to enhance both academic and extracurricular programs to support student growth, ensuring that schools provide quality instruction and comprehensive support to meet the evolving needs of a changing world.
